Weird confession time! When it comes to pegging my lovely Fella, I dislike being collared. I don’t know what fucked up things my brain thinks up to make me feel that way, but I just don’t like it. It feels chokey and too restrictive, and it makes me feel like a fraud, kinda like I don’t deserve to wear a submissives piece while ‘acting’ dominant.
So I opt out of wearing the collar when he offers it to me.
The problem with that is, I then feel underdressed. I have on my corset or basque, stockings, unchained cuffs, and a sexy harness of course, but my throat, shoulders, and décolletage feels like too wide an expanse of bare skin.
I’ve tried using thinner collars and costume jewellery chokers to fill the void, but nothing feels right. I didn’t think I was ever going to find anything that would make me feel complete yet not hypocritical, but then I got a review package from the wonderful folk at Orion, and inside of it was this Zado Chain Collar.
Oh my God, it’s perfect!
Measuring 20 inches from end to end and made from black leather and silver chain, it fits my needs so much I actually get excited when I see it dangling from the Fella’s finger.
The inch wide front piece is made up of three thick curb chain links with a D-ring permanently fixed to the centre. The side pieces are leather with silver metal studs, and the piece fastens at the back of the neck with a simple silver buckle.
There’s something about it that’s very obviously in keeping with the usual styles associated with bondage, but at the same time there’s something about it that suggests it’s little more than jewellery. I don’t know if it’s the way the metal chains sparkle in low lighting, but I don’t feel like I want to slip into my submissive role when I put I on.
But don’t misunderstand me. The Zado Chain Collar isn’t simply a piece of fashion jewellery. It’s well made and strong, and the lovely scent you’d expect from leather is there too. I have worn it as a submissive collar once or twice, and I’ve been led around on my knees with a lead attached to the D-ring, but I do prefer to keep it as my ‘baby-domme’ collar, as I’ve taken to calling it.
And that’s one of the reasons I love it so much. It gives me all the right mental feels during pegging, but if the Fella decides to reassert his dominance he can grab the collar and bring me to my knees without snapping it like he has so many costume pieces in the past.
It’s comfortable to wear, the leather is soft and non-chaffing, and the metal chinks and glimmers when I move. I really can’t think of anything negative to say about it.
