We-Vibe are doing some amazing things, these days, and I’m so happy to see that they’ve shifted their focus when it comes to partner toys. Before, if you were playing with a friend, one of you had to have a vulva to get the most from a We-Vibe ‘couples’ toy. The emphasis on the likes of the Sync was on clitoral stimulation first, and then g-spot stim. Those with a penis had to make do with whatever vibes they could feel coming off the toy inside their partner. Not that penetration isn’t fun enough for the penis in and of itself, of course (or so the Fella tells me).

BUILD
Vibrating cock rings usually look one of two ways to me: cheap and fragile, or chunky and stupid. Not surprisingly, We-Vibe have managed to make one that looks classy and well-made.
Gorgeous, silky blue silicone that’s soft to the touch makes up the entire piece, less the little magnetic plates in the tip where the charger connects. Yeah, it’s a magnetic charger, and because the cable is kinked when it’s first uncoiled, it’s terrible. I had to weigh the cable down, and then kept noticing the light blinking off while the toy was still uncharged. It took ages to get it to stay connected, and I’m gonna keep my fingers crossed that it’ll improve once the cable loosens up a bit.
Size wise, the We-Vibe Pivot measures up at 3-inches in length, 2-inches in width over the top section, and 1.25-inches thick. Beneath the lovely, smooth silicone is an ABS plastic vibrator. The outer coating is quite thin, so the body of the cock ring is nice and firm.
Looping from the bottom of the vibe is the cock ring itself. Unstretched, the hole is approximately 1.25-inches in diameter. So, cocks with a girth of more than 4.7-inches are in for a super snug fit. Don’t worry if you’re bigger than the 4.59-inch average, though. The silicone the ring is made from is very stretchy. I’ve successfully used it with a dildo that has a 6” circumference, and could probably have gone a bit bigger.
CONTROLS
Aside from the Unite, all of We-Vibe’s toys are app controllable these days. If you have a smart phone, tablet, etc, you can download We-Connect for free, and use it to control your Pivot. Or your partner can control it, even if they aren’t in the same room as you. Even if they aren’t in the same city. You can control the intensity of your vibes with the app, and the mode, too.
If you’re not a fan of app operated toys, you have a more limited control. Pressing the single button on the nose of the Pivot gives you access to four intensities of constant vibration, and six patterns. You only have the presets when using the button on the vibe itself, you can’t finely tune your experience.
VIBES & USE
Getting the We-Vibe Pivot situated can be a bit tricky due to its tightness. You have to put some effort in to stretch it, and lube is a very good idea. But once lube is in play, stretching becomes a bit more difficult cos of the slip factor. We’ve found it best to make sure the Fella is as hard as he’s gonna get before slicking a little lube on his penis and the inside of the ring. I stretch it while he inserts. It’s easier with a friend helping, but if you’re flying solo, a little extra lube on your cock will aid you in sliding the ring down your length quickly. Just try to not let go, cos nipping will happen if it’s trapped around the middle of your hard cock.
Oh, and if you don’t keep your trouser region trim, be aware of your hair. This thing isn’t shy of ripping out a few pubes.
Once the Pivot is snugly situated, the initial benefits for the wearer are a harder erection and improved stamina. That’s fab for everyone involved. And when it’s switched on, the vibes are fed into the shaft and surrounding area. That’s great for the wearer, but how was it for me? Have I finally found the one ring to rule them all, or is this one just another let down?
It’s my pleasure to tell you that the Pivot is pretty amazing! The vibes are exactly what I would have expected from a We-Vibe toy. Powerful and rumbly. In fact, they’re just a shade less powerful than the Tango, which we all know is one of my most favourite vibes, ever.
As with most cock rings, we’ve found that I get the best from it if we grind rather than thrust. Thrusting breaks contact with my clit, and once the vibe is pulled out from between my large labia, it won’t go back in unless a finger makes it. Thrusting just has it bouncing off my flaps, which is pointless. They’re too fleshy for the vibes to travel through them and to my clit.
But that grinding, though. It not only gives me deep, hard penetration and physical closeness, but it also keeps the We-Vibe Pivot in delicious contact with my clit. The firmness of the plastic beneath the silicone gives me loads of pressure, and the vibes just constantly assault my clit. It’s everything I like about dual stim, and it’s all hands free! The Pivot is waterproof, so you can take your fun into the bath or shower, should you want to. If not, you can still take advantage of it being submersible when it comes to cleaning. After carefully slipping the Pivot off your cock (it comes off quite easily once you’re flaccid if you add a bit more lube) you can just wash it in a sink of soapy water and let it air dry. Do make sure you hand dry the charging points, though. You don’t want those rusting up on you.
