When it comes to non-fantasy silicone dildos, my trifecta of favourite brands is Tantus, Fun Factory, and Vixen Creations. Each one offers something different, whether it be size, shape, or simplicity. As a rule, it’s the ultra-realistic Vixskin I look for when checking out Vixen’s wares. I love that stuff so much, it’s the most realistic feeling silicone I’ve tried to date. But Vixskin isn’t all Vixen have to offer, though. They still make toys in their ‘original formula’ silicone, and that’s what this gorgeous Vixen Creations Gee Whizzard is made of.
I’ve wanted to get my hands on one of these bad boys for ages, so was past myself with excitement when the very lovely Carolyn from Betty’s Toy Box offered to send me one for review. See, I’m one of those less than sensible people who insert their Doxy into their vagina on occasion. I don’t endorse the practice cos it ain’t good for the wand and it’s only fun until you have to take it back out again, but I won’t lie and say it doesn’t feel incredible.
But like I said, inserting a Doxy into a bodily orifice is the fastest way to achieving a busted Doxy, so the next best thing is to find something insertable that can harness the power of a favourite wand. That’s what the Vixen Gee Whizzard is all about.
Yep, it’s a wand attachment, designed to fit the Hitachi magic wand but fine for use with all full-sized models of the Doxy, as well as other wands like Le Wand, O-Wand etc.
As much as I wanted the Gee Whizzard, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Most things look good on a computer screen, don’t they, but sometimes what you get isn’t what you saw. In this case, what I got is better. I’m a May baby (my sign is Gemini if you wanna know) so the emerald green colouration makes me so happy. I thought the whole piece was green but it’s not, it’s translucent silicone with green randomly swished and swirled through it. At the tip, it’s so dark it’s almost black, then for the rest of the shaft, it’s a mix of clear and striped dye that reminds me of grass. The dome that attaches to the wand head is all green but in varying degrees of darkness.
Something that surprised me about it is the size. I don’t know why, but I expected it to be smaller than it is. The shaft has an insertable length of 4.5” and a girth of3.5” at the thinnest point and4.5” at its thickest. The 3” high dome will comfortably fit wands with a maximum circumference of around 7-8” and it has an outer girth of 9”.
On the back of that dome, there is a ‘V’ made up of 22 squishy beads. Yeah, the denser parts of this toy are quite firm, but the thinner parts have a bit of give. The textured surface is great for wide-area stimulation and vulva massage. Oh, it’s great for sharing with a partner, too. On the Doxy’s lower setting, the Fella likes to press his cock against the nubby part while I use the shaft. He shies off once I crank up the power but while it’s on low he really enjoys himself.
So, the shaft. It ain’t no plain, straight-sided shaft like some other wand attachments I’ve got are. There’s a nice curve to it, making it work well for g-spotting, and running from tip to base there are a series of soft waves. Slow thrusting is the name of the day if I want to feel those bumps. Once lubed up I stop feeling them after a while if I go at it hammer and tongs. But slowly does it and they stay with me much longer.
In use, the Vixen Gee Whizzard is, well…a wizard. But a wizard would be nothing without their wand. If I whack this thick silicone sleeve over a weak or buzzy wand, I don’t get much at all. Silicone is dense and acts as a dampener for vibrations. By the time those buzzes have to travel through 5” of the stuff, they feel piddly and pointless.
But on the head of a beast like the Doxy, it’s a whole other story. No, I’m not saying you get the same vibes at the tip of the attachment as you get on the naked wand head. The vibes do lose some of their magic and they do become much buzzier than usual Doxy standards. But there’s still more than an echo of that depth of vibration to be had, and the power is almost all there.
Every time I’ve put this toy in my vagina my g-spot has initiated a Mexican wave, and my clit and butt hole happily join in. That’s cos the tip hits my internal hotspot and the dome presses into my perineum and vulva, sending near as dammit full power vibes up to my clit and down to my butt.
When I use it anally the same thing happens, more or less. The main difference is my g-spot is remotely stimulated rather than directly. But while I need to hold the shaft still when aiming for a g-spot orgasm vaginally, thrusting is where it’s at for anal. There’s no stretch but the vibration makes the Gee Whizzard feel huge. Almost pulling it out stings (and I like it). Grinding against the dome while the shaft is all the way inside me feels heavenly and I just fucking love it.
I had a good feeling about it, but I didn’t think I’d be as impressed as I am. Sometimes I can get a bit frustrated with it, though. Sometimes I need a lot of pressure on my g-spot but the way the shaft bends away from the dome makes it unattainable. That’s not the best thing ever, but I have other toys (metal ones) that do the job perfectly. The Gee Whizzard serves me well when my g-spot isn’t being a dick and I have no complaints about it whatsoever.
As ever, the last thing I want to talk about is cleaning. Like most silicone toys with no electronic gubbins, Vixen toys are easy to keep hygienic. You can wash them, boil em, bleach em, store em in their plastic shipping tubes and they’ll last forever.
