It’s time for another Tantus review! Seriously, the way I behave when it comes to Tantus dildos you’d think they gave me orgasms. Oh, wait…they do! At the moment, Tantus are retiring some of their old products and replacing them with snazzy updated versions. For their new dildos, the releases so far have been in a silicone that feels different to both the original and O2 lines. The first in this new material is the Tantus Vamp Super Soft.
Now, if you’ve been a fan of – or even aware of – Tantus for any amount of time, you’ll know that this isn’t their first Vamp. They have (or, as could soon be the case, had) a single density Vamp dildo, as well as a vibrating version in the Grab Bag section. I have an original Vamp and I love it.
When the Vamp Super Soft arrived, I was blown away by how deliciously smooshy it is. As with all Tantus dildos, it’s made from their 100% Ultra-Premium Silicone, and while it isn’t as smooshy as a ‘real feel’ silicone, it is gloriously soft and pliable. You can bend it completely in half and it just springs back to attention, showing no signs that it’s ever been messed with. Quality!
And the colour. Oh my lord, the colour of my Vamp is stunning. I’ve got pink dildos coming out of my eyes, and purple, black, and red… I even have green, blue and yellow, but this is my first ever copper coloured dildo. I absolutely adore it! It’s got depth and a metallic sparkle to it, despite the fact that it’s completely matte. Ugh, I need lipstick, nail polish, shoes and a bag to match before I can ever be happy again.
During that first gratuitous squishing, I had only one thought; is it soft enough for the Fella to ignore how big it is and let me fuck him with it?
I wasn’t sure that would be likely, cos the Tantus Vamp Super Soft is a generously sized dildo. From tip to base you have seven lovely inches, and six and a half of those are insertable. Five inches of squeezable girthiness runs evenly up the entire shaft, with an extra quarter of an inch around the coronal ridge.
Just like the original Vamp, the Super Soft is a semi-realistic dildo, sporting texturing that hints at veins and a gentle foreskin wrinkle, and it has a broad, nicely defined head with a softly curved ridge and barely-there frenulum. The difference in materials means that this detailing is more muted on the Vamp Super Soft, making it a shade less lifelike.
The flared base makes it perfectly safe for anal play, and that’s where my head has been with it. I wanted it in our harness so badly I shocked myself with how enthusiastically I tried to sell a pegging session to the Fella. He’d always said no (or rather, ‘don’t be fucking stupid’) to the Vamp, so I did all of the bending, squishing and wobbling to show him it really is butt friendly despite its size.
At first he said no, he wanted to use it on me. Not one complaint passed my lips. We lubed it up, I got on my knees and he got to work. This new Super Soft silicone feels so fucking good in use. The Vamp is still nice and filling, the head still feels amazing when whipping in and out, but there’s a gentleness to it that allows for a much harder fuck. I don’t feel like my pubic bone is gonna shatter, I don’t feel like my cervix is being pounded out of shape (I mean, I like that, sure, but not every day).
Even during anal (which I insisted on with a mid-orgasm shriek) I feel like it offers so much more freedom. The stretch is still the same, there’s no getting away from that, but it feels different. It feels gentler, kinda like the Tantus O2 dildos but with a lot more flex.
One thing I do find a bit annoying about the Super Soft silicone is that it eats lube. I had a few yelps when everything suddenly dried up mid-backward thrust during excitable anal. The matte finish creates a drag that nobody needs tugging at their holes, so make sure you have plenty of lube close to hand. And don’t wait until you get a sticky wicket; reapply before it tries to rip you a new one.
Awesome alert: after a few sessions, the Fella did let me fuck him with the Tantus Vamp Super Soft. Just the once, so far, but it happened and though he came like a train, he said his butt ached like a bitch after so he doesn’t fancy it again unless we have time for a lengthy preparation session.
Whenever I ask “how did that feel” after anal play, he’s always cagey. There’s something about having stuff put up his butt that makes him go a bit quiet. Even though he’s the one who instigates pegging 99% of the time. But I persevere because it’s important, and when it comes to the Vamp Super Soft he tells me that it does feel good, especially when angled toward his prostate or almost withdrawn and sank back in, but the length bothers him in some positions.
A truth: I kinda need long dildos for active pegging cos I have a big belly and that gets in the way if a dildo is small. I end up with less to work with. Short ones are fine for those positions where he’s riding me, but when I’m thrusting I need some length. The Vamp Super Soft gives me that, so going forward it’s gonna be an ‘Ella’s in charge’ pegging toy only. That’ll get us over the ‘too deep’ sensation he complained about.
After you’re done doing what you do, the Vamp Super Soft can be cleaned in the usual ways; you can boil it, bleach it, put it in the dishwasher, or just use soapy water and toy cleaners. Like most Tantus toys, the Super Soft stuff has an intense love of all dust, pet hair, lint etc. I keep mine in the toy cupboard, but if you’re a bagger you’ll need to arrange that yourself.
