I’m a great advocate of products that make blow jobs taste like they’re anything but blow jobs, and I have a couple of bottles of flavoured gels and lubes that I love to use. My little eye has been on the Sliquid Swirl range for a while now, but I have so much other stuff to slurp my way through before it goes off, I couldn’t justify buying more bottles.
But when I was buying my Tantus Luke, I needed to be over a certain threshold to qualify for free delivery, and after spying these sachets, I added a few to my basket so I could see what they were all about.
Sliquid Swirl lube is available in six flavours, but there was only four options available to me at the time of purchase, and I picked three of them. I opted to forgo the Strawberry Pomegranate, cos there’s a couple of litres of Grenadine in the kitchen I can use if I ever fancy a bit of that.
The whole range is colourless, and just like most water based lubes intended for oral use, it’s quite runny. It’s not watery by any means, but isn’t thick enough to be ideal for, say, anal use. It is fine for PIV sex, though we did run out of the sachet we were using and had to switch to another Sliquid lube.
There’s nothing excessively sticky about it, even once it dries, and a small amount goes a long way, as the flavours are so delicious, your mouth waters for England. If you should let it dry for any reason, a bit of saliva reactivates it, and you can carry on where you left off.
When it comes to the ingredients list, there’s nothing to get your flaps in a knot over. Just like all of Sliquid’s lubes, everything used is perfectly body safe, as well as being suitable for vegan use.
As I’ve said in other reviews, I don’t get stressed about what lubes I use personally, but I’m not one for putting flavoured lubes in or around my vagina. Too many sugars makes the risk of yeast infections too high, and it’s not worth the pay off. However, I’m more than happy to let the Fella slather Sliquid Swirl anywhere he likes, as there’s nothing in it to cause me any problems.
So, when it comes to flavours, these are the three I chose:
This lube smells and tastes like cherry bakewells, which isn’t a bad thing at all. It’s a little tangy when it first hits my taste buds, but after a few laps up and down the Fella’s shaft, I grow accustomed to it, and it’s quite pleasant.
It’s my least favourite flavour though, as while it leaves a lovely smell on the skin, it does leave a lingering, kinda artificial chemical tang in its wake.
Sour! This is so super sour, as soon as I tasted it I was pleased that I was the one receiving oral and not the one giving it. It does have a nice sweetness to it, but the zing was just too much for me. The Fella is one of those crazy types who loves to torment his mouth with sour jelly sweets and those evil, bitter gobstoppers, though, so he had a great time slurping away.
Joint fave! Unlike the other two, this lube is very subtly flavoured. Sliquid say that their Swirl range is intended to enhance the natural taste of your partner, not mask it, and the Blue Raspberry does exactly that. I can still taste the fact that I’m sucking a cock and not a melting ice pop, and even though I’m not a fan of the natural taste, it is quite nice to not have my tastebuds overwhelmed by artificial flavours every now and again.
We will be buying ourselves some full sized bottles soon, and as well as some of the flavours that weren’t available at the time we purchased these sachets, Blue Raspberry will definitely be in the shopping basket.
