After my recent introduction to wood and stone dildos through my participation in Cara Sutra’s Pleasure Panel, I really did think I’d tried most types of dildo in my size range. I’d love to tell you about the minimalist yet classy packaging, but I won’t. I kinda can’t, cos when I opened up my package (which was beautifully wrapped in purple paper until I got my grubby mits on it) all I could see was the stunning black and gold marbling of my new duo-tone toy. I’ve wanted a toy with this colouring for AGES, and it feels pretty special to have one in such an unusual shape.
First off, I have to comment on the base. I absolutely adore the heart shaped bases of Sh! dildos. They’re not only a lovely touch, making the dildos feel sweet and girly (not to mention making them great Valentine’s Day or anniversary gifts) but they’re also functional. They make Sh! dildos anal safe, and the large size provides a solid base should you wish to use yours in a harness.
Like I said above, the Princess Silky is a dual stim dildo. The silicone it’s made from not only looks marvellous, but it’s super squishy too. This is my second Sh! dildo, and the silicone of the first was mega firm. This one visibly stretches when I squeeze it, though it doesn’t feel too soft during use, and I can bend it this way and that with almost no resistance unless I try to bend it back over.
Princess Silky has a petite shaft, which measures in at about 4 inches of insertable length, with a girth of 4.25 inches at the widest point, which is near the base. Said shaft narrows about three quarters of the way up, before widening out again, but not to the same thickness as the base. This makes it feel slightly pointy, and that does something good during use.
Sloping out from the base of the shaft is a short, curled arm. This is intended to either stimulate the clitoris or the perineum, depending on which orifice you choose to put it in. That arm is around 2 inches in length, and it curves in toward the shaft, and therefore toward the body. I wasn’t 100% sure this was gonna fit me, but I found out soon enough that it did.
I’ll be honest and say that, when it came to my first time with the Princess Silky, I was at a bit of a loss as to where to start. Did I get it inserted and just rock it? Did I put it on a chair, sit on it, and then rock myself?
I didn’t have a clue, so I did what many other horny assed bloggers looking for an orgasm would do: I whipped out the Doxy Die Cast, and that was one of the best decisions I ever made. I’d intended to use the clitoral arm as a handle and thrust the shaft vaginally while the Doxy did it’s funky thing with my clit, but I decided that was 100% cheating. I was only comfortable with 50% cheating, so I changed tactics.
Instead of using the external arm as a handle, I used it for its true purpose: a clit stimulator. Joy and trumpets abound when I snuggled the shaft into my vagina and found that, with a little flick of my finger, the clit arm nestled right against my clit. He uses the external arm as a handle, and thrusts really sharply and quickly, pulling the shaft all the way out before plunging back in again. For me, the Princess Silky doesn’t require a lot of lube. It’s quite small, so after a light coating of water-based lube (which Sh! provided me with two sachets of) and two or three jiggles, it slips in easily, and after a couple more thrusts my own lubrication is enough to keep things nice and slick. Those who find even small dildos a challenge can rest easy in the knowledge that they can lube up to their hearts’ content, because that heart shaped base gives them plenty to cling on to while they take themselves for a ride.
With the Princess Silky being silicone, it can be sterilized in a number of ways: 10% bleach solution, boiling water, dishwasher… I opt for a wash in soapy water and a good spray down with antibacterial toy cleaner. Wipes are good to have on hand too, as it attracts quite a bit of dust that’ll need wiping or rinsing off before use. There isn’t a storage bag, which isn’t a problem for me as I keep mine on a shelf in my fubbard (fuck-cupboard), but if you need to store yours in a box, drawer, or in view, you’ll need to arrange your own discreet pouch.
