Since Scandarella started picking up momentum, I’ve slowly built up a little list of companies I’d love to work with, so I was extra delighted when one of the first companies I’d put on that list agreed to forward me a product to review.
Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium sent me their own brand Pink Glass Double Dildo, and that dildo sent me straight to texture heaven!
Glass has to be one of my favourite sex toy materials to date. Provided you buy from a reputable source that sells products of only the highest quality borosilicate, it’s completely body safe. Obviously, there’s no latex or phthalates to be found, and it’s completely non-porous too. This makes it a perfect choice when it comes to hygienic, body safe insertables.
It can be heated in a bowl of hot water, or chilled in a bucket of ice, and it can also feel fantastic when rolled over the body as a makeshift massager. That means that just one glass dildo has half a dozen different uses, and that’s before you even think about sizes, shapes, and textures!
The Sh! Pink Double Dildo is a beautiful thing. It arrived prettily wrapped in purple paper, and comes in a shiny black bag. Sh! provided a couple of sachets of their Pure Lube too, and I’ll mention those again at the end of the review.
Unlike many glass toys I’ve come across, the pink of the Double Dildo is surprisingly bold. I have other glass dildos that need to be set against a white background to make the colouring look at its best, but this one is bright, even against black.
One of my favourite things about glass dildos is the weight. The Sh! Pink Double weighs 230g, and that makes it feel very substantial in the hand. It’s 9 inches in total length, pretty much all of them being insertable, less the bit your fingers touch. The circumference is a modest 4 inches, making it perfectly suited to those who don’t like being too stretched or over-filled.
Now I’m a gal who loves both of those things, and if this had been a straight up and down dildo, I probably wouldn’t like it. But it isn’t! It’s fantastically shaped with dips and bumps galore!
Both ends boast softly tapered tips, but one end is slightly more bulbous than the other. My favourite end, probably unsurprisingly, is the larger one. There are three 4 inch bulbs there, and they taper quite abruptly into a set of six, 3 inch bumps that vary in size. If used at a certain angle, the tip strokes my G-Spot, while the next two bumps stimulate my vaginal walls, and the small bumps tease my vaginal opening with every slow thrust.
When I switch it around to the other end, I find I don’t get as much surface stimulation, but the long length of the dildo makes grinding the small tip against my G-Spot easy, as not only is there a slender neck that accommodates the positioning of my pubic bone, but there’s also plenty of the shaft left outside of me to get a good grip on.
The one issue I have with this dildo actually has nothing to do with the product itself. It’s something on the product page that I can’t get behind. The page states that this is a “Sensual Pink Sex Toy for G-Spot or Anal Pleasure”.
The G-Spot bit is spot on, but the anal part isn’t. There’s absolutely no flare to the base of this dildo. It may well have some lovely bumps, but not one of those bumps is going to stop your butt if it decides it’s gonna suck this dildo in. It’s never happened to me, but I have heard scary stories of people experiencing such intense orgasms that they’ve had toys snatched from their very fingers and sucked into the abyss, and some of those toys were a lot bigger than this one.
So unless you have a set of those fabulous rings that turn unflared toys into anal safe ones, I wouldn’t be putting this dildo anywhere near your bum, because the potential for it to go on a journey through your innards is just too great.
Aside from that issue though, I would whole-heartedly recommend this dildo to anyone looking for a beautiful, stylish, satisfying piece of glass!
A quick word on the Sh! Pure Lube:
It’s water-based, and I know this sounds silly, but it feels unbelievably wet in use. It’s not massively runny, but it lacks the gel like consistency some other lubes have, and this makes if feel a bit more natural once my body warms it up. It has quite a strong, gluey scent, but is 100% tasteless, and it lasts for ages when used with glass. Silicone eats it up, and it needs reapplying during partner sex too, but less so if you’re using a condom, and it is safe to use with latex condoms.
It’s paraben free, but it does contain propylene glycol, which can irritate some people. I’ve never had a problem with that or any of the other ingredients so far, so I’m happy to say, I think this lube is ace!
The Pink Double Glass Dildo was sent to me by Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influences my opinions, which are now, and will forever be, my own. Affiliate links have been used in this post.
