I’ll let you in on a little secret; I love the outward appearance of jelly dildos. They look squishy, bouncy and gummy, and their colours are nearly always super pretty. Terrible, I know, but then I’ve always been attracted to the bad guy. But the only thing I’d ever touch one with these days would by my gaze. They’re so much badder than the bad guy, and I’ve learned to steer clear. But that’s no big shakes for me, because I have a Sh! Honey 6 Vibrating GSpot Dildo.
I confess that I opted to review this dildo because it’s so chubby, and I asked for it in blue because blue is a scarce colour in my toy cupboard. The Honey 6 is a silicone dildo, but there’s something about that silicone which looks jelly-like. It’s super glossy and looks like, if it weren’t so thick, any light behind it would shine straight through. In fact, you can see this is a definite if you hold the heart shaped base up to a light. It’s only about 1cm thick and it practically glows, just like jellies do.
This may seem like a pointless thing to mention, but for me it’s ace to have a kinda-jelly-looking dildo that’s not gonna rot me from the inside. Silicone is non-toxic phthalate and latex free. It’s perfectly body safe, and in the case of Sh! dildos, it’s very high quality. Their toys are always top notch and some of them have spots on my top toys shelf.
Sh! Honey 6 is one of them. At 6” in insertable length it’s pretty manageable, but the 6.25” girth could be a challenge for some. It’s a firm dildo, with just the right amount of give in its solidness to make its size comfortable for those who like a decent stretch.
Nine times out of ten I’ll choose a dildo with some kind of texture. I love to be able to feel my sex toys inside me, around my vaginal opening and wherever else they might touch. But the Sh! Honey 6 is completely smooth. There isn’t a nub, ridge or vein in sight. There is, however, a lovely wavy curve to it. Curved dildos are high on my list of desirable toys.
The lower portion begins quite straight, but curves back halfway up, then forward again for the last quarter. That dip arches around the pubic bone, letting the tip curl around it to settle against the G-spot area. I get such a full sensation from this shape, and my vaginal opening constantly feels the stretch.
Just using it as a dildo is fun enough. The silicone is draggy as fuck so lashings of water-based lube is essential, and once it’s in me I can play for hours. The heart shaped base isn’t all that great for my toy mount, so if I’m flying solo I usually grab the bondage tape and strap it to my small, raggy old barstool. That thing puts the Honey 6 at the perfect height for riding, though straddling it does kill my legs after a while.
If the Fella is involved, the dildo is either in his hand or in a harness. He won’t have the Honey 6 used on him, though, it’s used on me. The base makes it perfectly harness compatible and squirting orgasms are the name of the day if I’m fucked hard enough with it. I even enjoy hard anal sex with this one. It’s not a deep butt diver, but it does have that toe curling girth to make me shudder with pleasure.
My version of the Sh! Honey 6 isn’t just a dildo, though. It’s a vibrating dildo. In the heart shaped base there’s a bullet hole, and the toy comes with a teeny Sh! bullet vibe. I’m not that keen on these vibrators, to be honest. They take those awful little cell batteries which only last ten minutes, and they’re buzzy and weak. I don’t use them in my Sh! vibrating dildos, but I do keep them to hand at all times. See, I like to slip them in my bra when I’m playing on my own. They stay put, take care of nipple stim, and leave my hands free to play with other bits of me.
I do, however, stick a larger bullet in the base of the Honey 6 sometimes. The vibes don’t travel very well though the dense silicone, but there is a little hum that has the potential to add to my play, depending on how I feel. It’s nothing particularly noticeable, it just improves the sensations in the same way that seasoning a meal makes it taste the same, just better.
Sh! silicone dildos are easy to keep clean. They can be boiled, bleached (10% solution), washed in soapy water or sprayed with toy cleaners. This kind of silicone loves to collect dust, so I think the box it comes in is the best place to store it. But still, it’ll need a wash before use because I guarantee you there will be bits on it.
