Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples Guest Review

Earlier on in the year, the super generous folks from Satisfyer sent me a whopping big box full of goodies. Some of them I’ve reviewed and others are up for grabs in my Halloween 2018 Giveaway. And one was popped in the post and sent to my lovely friend, the awesome Posy Churchgate, so she could give us her unbiased opinion. Read on to find out what she thought of the Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples…

I have not tried any products by Satisfyer before this one was sent to me by Scandarella to review, but I was immediately impressed by the presentation and the packaging.

The box was neat and compact and the toy and all its accessories were displayed inside in a clear moulded tray, there was also a booklet describing its functions and suggested usage of the item with charging instructions and cleaning advice. I’ll admit I did not read this thoroughly. Instead, I hastened to plug the gadget in to charge so I could try it as soon as possible!

The plug is the normal 3-pin type used for iPhones and similar, and the cable which slots into it (dongle style) has a strong magnetic dock at the other end. This allows it to connect with the Satisfyer without any need for holes in its sleek design, making it much safer to clean. It does not, however, come with any kind of pouch or drawstring bag, which is a slight drawback, as silicone toys attract pet hairs and dust, and I’d want this item to remain pristine and white, so for this omission, I’d mark it 9/10.

The toy itself is white, which looks classy. I’m not against bright colours in my ‘pleasure’ toy box, but the white design with rose gold accents (around the pulse/speed controls) gives the gadget a luxe appearance. So, twinned with its slightly unusual appearance the uninformed might not guess its true function! It is coated in very smooth silicone which has a pleasing texture making the Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples easier to grip if the user’s hands are slippery with lube. Only water-based lubes should be used with this item to prevent damage to this silicone coating.

The ‘prong’ of the gadget is flexible to allow easy, comfortable insertion and give during use to adjust slightly to varying body dimensions.  It has its own vibrating motor in this arm which has 10 patterns, and 11 increments in speed. I am a small-ish person (only 5’4” tall) so the vibrating aperture located well against my clitoris when the slender silicone arm was inserted in my vagina. Even better if I applied a little pressure to the device to make the prong flex and to press the aperture against the ‘wishbone shaped’ muscle structure which is the entirety of the clitoris. If I hadn’t been trying to be quiet I’d have shouted out ‘Cowabunga’ (like a surfer!)

The silicone aperture which provides the air pressure waves is one size (which as we know, may not fit ALL!) and this may be a problem for some users. Reading reviews of other similar products I can see that many people prefer a larger aperture to locate over their clit to deliver the air-wave vibrations, as too narrow a focus can make some folk get sensitive too quickly. The aperture on the Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples is easy to clean and dry using cotton buds if body fluids or lube get inside it.

Let’s discuss the controls – I have found these difficult to get the hang of! I went back to the instruction pamphlet and they are as follows:

You can control the vibration programs of the Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples via the wave symbol on the outer button area. Press the button for approx. 2 seconds to activate the vibration. You change the rhythm with each click of the wave symbol and you can choose from 10 programs. Pressing the button again deactivates the vibration.

My problem is that the controls are hard to operate once the device is in use! I’ve used the toy for solo play with great success but to change speed or pattern while it is against my body requires pressing quite hard. This can dislodge it from its ideal position and sometimes is not enough to activate a vibration change. Using it as it was designed, for couples’ play, so that it is sandwiched between the pelvis’ of the two partners makes the control panel impossible to access, so you’d better make the right choice before you couple together! This drawback makes me mark it 7/10.

My overall view of the Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples is that it works better as a solo play toy when used by a vulva owner! In particular for someone like me, who likes to read, or those who like to watch porn, the silicone ‘arm’ feature delivers vibrations to good places, while also holding the gadget in prime position, allowing hands-free for other activities! The feature of varied intensity and patterns is a great one, and for my body dimensions, the round aperture transmitted great sensations to the ideal location for a very happy ending – each time I’ve used it  I would give it 9/10 for this application (it loses 1 point purely because it works even better if I press it against me with one hand)

As a toy for couples, I struggled to make it effective the way it had been designed to function. The principle of anchoring the prong inside one partner’s vulva, so that the male can enjoy the vibrations during penetration, seems to ignore the very real possibility that the Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples will get displaced during the typical movement of sex! My OH could feel the prong’s vibrations just fine, and its presence was not an intrusion. Although it didn’t provide the vagina narrowing experience I’d hoped for.

The placement of the gadget during typical missionary position meant that it initially got in the way, then slipped to the side. In summary, the Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples did not remain in the ideal location to deliver pleasurable sensation during PinV sex. Perhaps for this couple that was a hint to get more adventurous with sex positions. (Posy dusts off her copy of the Kama Sutra and starts flipping through!) For this application, I would score it 6/10.

I received this toy for free, in exchange for an honest review, but its price at the time of writing is £54.95 which I would say puts it mid to high price range. For the price versus the functionality, I’d mark this toy 6/10.

Overall the Satisfyer earns a score of 37/50 which translates to an average of 7/10 and a very valid place in my lockable toy box!

So there you have it! A very respectable 7/10 from Posy. Thank you to her and her partner for putting this toy to the test and writing this great review!
