OVO E2 Rechargeable Vibrator

After a short chat with a lovely person from OVO Lifestyle Toys, I received an email telling me I had some products on the way for review. Now I’ve never used an OVO product before, so I guess you can imagine how thrilled I was at the idea of getting to try three of them!

When my parcel came, I had a look over the boxes, and my eyebrows lifted when I spotted the E2 Rechargeable Vibrator. On the face of it, it’s just a standard sized, classic shaped vibrator, but if you look a little closer, it has a feature I’ve never come across on a sex toy before. But more about that later.

OVO E2 2

First I’ll tell you all about the E2’s build. Looking at it, I expected it to be weighty, but it isn’t, it’s actually really light. Light enough for me to say it feels kinda flimsy in the hand, but it’s not, it’s quite solid. In fact, OVO have a huge amount of confidence in the quality and longevity of their products, and that’s reflected in their whopping 15 year warranty.

The insertable length of the E2’s shaft is 5 inches, with a slender circumference of around 4.3 inches. That shaft is made from smooth, flawless silicone – black, in this case – and it’s completely rigid and very firm, so the silicone must be very thinly layered over the hard plastic inner.

The base, or handle, is made from white ABS plastic, with a black silicone lip running around one edge, presumably to aid with grip, and a black plastic control dial in the centre. I’ve started calling the E2 my Stormtrooper, because that’s what it reminds me of.

Like many sex toys these days, the E2 is rechargeable via usb, and completely waterproof too. It offers 3 intensities and 5 modes, and none of those modes are anything new, though that doesn’t actually matter to me as I’m not usually a pattern lover.

Now I know it’s sounding like a regular old silicone vibe, but like I said earlier, it has a feature I’ve never come across before. That control dial I mentioned? It’s touch sensitive. Yup, you read that right, touch sensitive, just like second gen iPods. The only actual ‘button’ is the on/off button at the centre of the wheel.

Around the top and bottom edges of that button, there’s a plus and a minus sign, to increase and decrease the speed of the vibes. On either side of the button, there’s what Google tells me are strict inequality symbols, also known in my head as the sideways V’s. Look at the pic above and you’ll see what I mean. One lets you scroll through the modes, and the other lets you scroll back.

When it comes to using the E2, the first thing I want to say is, I really like the vibes this thing puts out. They don’t quite make the grade for what I’d class as rumbly, but they’re so close to slipping into that category it’s a pity that they don’t.

OVO E2 7

Just stroking my clit with it is enough to make me cum, and I adore having it pressed into my perineum, and with the shape and width of the handle, I’m quite happy to let the Fella use it on me anally. It feels so good, even though it’s super slim in comparison to my anal faves, and I’ve had some knee trembling anal orgasms from it.

Vaginally, it’s not really curved enough for easy G-Spotting, but it’s long and narrow, so I can get right up behind my cervix, and that I like! With its firmness, angling it down toward my butt inside me and grinding feels kind of amazing too, so the E2 is pretty versatile when it comes to how many ways I can use it.

But as good as all that sounds, I actually hate this toy for solo use. Reason being, the touch sensitive controls. They’re more sensitive than all the cry-babies in the world combined, and all I have to do is look at it and the mode or vibe speed changes. Well, that’s obviously an exaggeration, but all it takes is the lightest brush of a finger, a thigh or a bit of wayward labia to activate a change, and that pisses me right off.

I’m not a flexible gal, so even if I was inclined to double over and watch what I was doing, it wouldn’t be possible for me to actually do it. That means I can’t see where my fingers and other body parts are in relation to the dial, and once I enter the frenzied thrusting stage, I need to change my dainty fingertip grip in the silicone lip to a full fisted, club swinging grab. And the vibes go wild, either dropping back down to slow, or changing from a solid, intense vibration that’s totally getting me there to an on off pulse that puts me off my stride completely.

OVO E2 6

Now when the Fella has his hands on the E2, it’s an entirely different kettle of fish. He can see what he’s doing and, yeah, while he does sometimes change the vibes on me, just to amuse himself, he usually plays nice and lets them do their thing. When he lets me, I cum and I cum hard, so the funky controls thing really is just an issue for me when playing alone.

So I dunno what to say in regards to whether or not I’d recommend the E2 to others. I do like it, and it does all the things it’s supposed to do, but I don’t get along with the fancy controls at all. That could just be me, of course. You could buy it, use it and love it without having any issues of the vibes playing funny buggers with you. All I can say is, if you can get past the problem I had, there’s a good chance you’re gonna like the E2. The only way you’re gonna find out is if you give it a try and see what you think.

The OVO E2 Vibrator was sent to me by OVO Lifestyle Toys in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influences my opinions, which are now, and will forever be, my own. No affiliate links have been used in this post.
