You may or may not recall me mentioning the bumper box of NU-Sensuelle treats that the fab people at Latex, Leather & Lace sent me a short while back. I’m really enjoying getting to know these products, there are all sorts to keep me entertained. I’ve already reviewed a mini vibe and a rabbit, and the latest one I want to talk about is the NU-Sensuelle Bunnii.
Basically, the Bunnii is a bullet with ears. Soft, flexible silicone ones that could be your clit’s new bestie if the direct contact of a bullet is uncomfortable for you. Cos, even though it’s coated in the same purple silicone as the ears, the Nu-Sensuelle Bunnii bullet is rigid. Yeah, silicone is known for dampening vibrations, but there isn’t enough of it to even take the edge off the hard power that shakes the Bunnii’s ABS plastic core. That can be far too harsh a stimulation for some, but the ears introduce much gentler vibes.
As bullets go, this one is on the chubbier side at just shy of 3.25” in circumference around the middle. If it wasn’t for the ears it would be a standard length, though. But the addition of the inch-long dual points takes the size up to 4.5”. This makes the NU-Sensuelle Bunnii feel a lot more substantial in the hand. Combined with the slightly heavier than a normal bullet weight, it’s comfortable to hold, easy to position, and with the longer length larger labia don’t get in the way as much.
However, flubbery flaps (like mine) can hinder those bunny ears when they’re trying to do their thing. Too much pressure on them stops them from being butterfly wing fluttery. When they have fleshy labia pressing around them from all angles they get mashed together. They bend and flatten against the bullet’s tip and no longer offer a softer feeling stimulation. To get the full effect of them I have to part my labia with one hand and use a featherlight touch with the other so that the tips skim and brush my clit.
That’s no biggie for me, though, cos I like intense stimulation. And that’s exactly what I get from the NU-Sensuelle Bunnii. Something that’s really impressing me about this range of toys is that the vibes are good and powerful. They don’t just tickle the surface of my skin, they don’t desensitise or itch. What they do is penetrate and spread their lovely shudders to the hidden parts of my clit. Not in the same way as this bullet does, but well enough for me not to wish I was using that other product instead of the Bunnii.
Vibes wise, the magnetically rechargeable Bunnii offers the user 20 functions. Three constant vibrations and seventeen (!!) patterns, all of them delivered with oomph. It’s a one-button wonder, though, which may prove to be a colossal pain in the arse for some folks. I mean, I get pissed off with myself if I overshoot my favourite setting when there are only 7 of them I have to scroll through. But when there are 20 of the fuckers it’s a case of click my life away until I get back to where I want to be or switch it off and back on again like I’m talking to my broadband provider. If toys are gonna start having dozens of patterns it would be nice to see manufacturers include back buttons.
So, me and the NU-Sensuelle Bunnii. We get along hoppingly. One thing I love about ears/dual pronged vibes is teasing my nipples with them. I don’t know if it’s a learned behaviour (can you even teach your tits to perform?) but they’re so much more responsive than they used to be. I’ve always liked nipple play, but never to the point where just tweaking my peaks gets me to the point where I need penetration and clit stim lest I die.
But that’s exactly where I’m at and the Bunnii is a great toy for stimulating my nips. I’ve been convinced that orgasm was imminent just from wiggling the ears around my nipples for a quarter of an hour or so more than once. My abs tighten, my clit throbs, I hold my breath…but it doesn’t happen. This is about the time when the Bunnii shifts from my chest to my crotch, and with a little bit of stroking, orgasm happens. It’s not a bone-shaking orgasm, though. It’s very clitorally oriented with gentle internal contractions.
I’ve tried to get some big ones using just the Bunnii but it doesn’t happen. I have to combine it with internal stimulation. That doesn’t make it a sub-par toy, though. I can guarantee you that every single vibrator I own has needed a little help to get me off at some stage. Yes, even Womanizers and my Doxy. I can probably also guarantee that, somewhere in the future, the Bunnii will do the job all on its own just fine. I have faith in my pointy-eared little friend.
It does bear mentioning that the vibes can be felt throughout the whole of the toy. If you have hand issues that are aggravated by vibrations, you should be aware that this toy could cause you problems. I’ve walked away from a session with weak feeling, pins and needly wrists a few times. If this is something that’s make or break for you, I’d consider looking for something else.
Now it’s time for me to tell you that the NU-Sensuelle Bunnii has more conditions than your average credit application. Like a Mogwai, you can’t get the base wet. No, you won’t get a load of attitudinal bunnies popping out of the silicone, but you will get a fucked broken toy. That calls for wet cloths/wipes for careful cleaning and dry ones for immediate drying.
It never ceases to amaze me that manufacturers are still making non-waterproof toys, but here we are. It just makes no sense to me, given that the nature of sex-based shenanigans is that shit gets wet. There’s nothing worse than having the natural act of lubricating/gushing/squirting fucking up your toys. Some may roll their eyes, but I did for many of my early vibrators that way. They were G-Spot vibes, too, intended to…make me squirt. Man alive!
You need to give the Bunnii an hour of charging before first use, then up to 4 hours of subsequent charging every 1-2 months if it’s not in use or else the battery might die. Many toys require this, though. As someone with hundreds of rechargeable sex toys, it’s hella sucky, but it is what it is.
Finally, a full charge gives you 60 minutes of play, but the info leaflet says not to use it for more than 30 minutes continuously. It doesn’t say why. I’ve checked for excessive heating cos I thought it might be that, but it isn’t.
Like I said above, the Bunnii is a good option for those who want a bullet with a softer tip. If you want power, it’s there, if you want depth of vibration, that’s there too. Bottom line, it’s a great toy to add to any vibrator collection.
