Kink Craft Nipple Sticks

When I was given the opportunity to review some Nipple Sticks from Kink Craft recently, I jumped at the chance! The ones we previously had ended up getting broken, so the time was ripe to try some new ones, from a company whose handmade products I’ve never had the pleasure of trying before.

I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a choice of colour, especially when I read what those colours were. It wasn’t your usual black and silver combo, which I had expected. There was pink and purple, green and yellow. Yellow?! My mind whizzed through our collection, and I couldn’t think of even one sex toy or bondage piece we have that is yellow. So that’s what I chose, and the lovelies at Kink Craft sent them to me free of charge, in exchange for an honest review.

What I got in the post was a lovely purple gift box with Kink Craft’s logo on the top, and inside, wrapped in pink tissue paper, sat a pair of nipple sticks. They’re made from two, side-by-side, 8 inch plastic rods that are held together by having their ends dipped in silicone – neon yellow silicone, in my case. Two black rings circle the rods, and the intensity of the pinch is manipulated by sliding them up and down the length of the sticks.

Sounds simple, right? Well that’s because it is simple, but it’s also effective, and nipple sticks are much easier to use than clamps, so all-in-all, they’re a fab addition to any adult toy box.

In use:

When it comes to pain from impact play, there’s never a moment when I’d even dream of saying ‘no, I’m not in the mood for that’. I’m always happy to drop my drawers for a spanking at a moment’s notice, and I’m more than happy to drag out the restraints and canes to take a less intimate yet more intense beating, but there is one type of pain that always comes with conditions.

Breast pain.

Or more specifically, nipple pain. It really is a time sensitive issue for me. I get mega sore boobs just before, and right through my period, so I’d rather avoid nipple play at this time. But after my period ends, my body becomes more and more sexually responsive as I approach ovulation. My pain receptors are heightened, sure, but so are my pleasure ones, and I get the most out of mixing the two once I arrive half way through my cycle, and then for maybe a week into the second half.

These Kink Craft Nipple Sticks came at the perfect time, right when nipple play feels at its best for me, so I tried them as soon as I got a bit of time to myself. As I said above, they’re much easier to use than clamps, in my opinion. I have smallish nipples, but large areolas, and I find clamps are forever popping off, or digging in and causing me discomfort of the unkinky kind. I never seem to be able to get enough of my areola in there to make it comfortable, as the opening of clamps is just too small.

With these nipple sticks, however, there’s a load of room to get things situated properly, and the tips of two fingers can be slipped between the rods to gently (or roughly, if you’re the Fella) coax the nipple and part of the areola through, so you get a grip on a wider area, and have less chance of them popping off.

Once they’re in place and tightened up as much as you want them to be, they can be twisted, flicked and tugged, or you can even hold a vibrator against the ends for extra stimulation. The Fella likes to hold our Doxy beneath my boobs so that the ends of both sticks can be touched at the same time. The plastic rods carry the vibes brilliantly, and with the Doxy being as powerful as it is, he can make it feel as good – or indeed as uncomfortable – as he likes.

At the end of play, he nips the ends between his finger and thumb, and flicks the sticks off. They do tug quite a bit when he does that, and my nipples do get uncomfortably stretched before they spring free, but there’s none of that nasty, embedded-into-the-skin feeling I always get with clamps.

I will say here that these sticks don’t offer as much upfront pain as most nipple clamps do as standard. You have to concentrate the pinch on the tip of the nipple and then manipulate them into hurting, if that’s what you’re after. But they do work fantastically well at increasing sensitivity, and just wearing them while the Fella licks and sucks my nipples makes it feel so much more intense than if he was just using his mouth on its own, and the little tugs he can give them without having to take his mouth away remind me that I’m only not in pain because he’s choosing not to hurt me.

So if you’re one for nipple play, I would definitely recommend these sticks, as your experience level won’t matter. You can make it hurt as much or as little as you like, it’s entirely up to you. Want some of your own? You can pick them up here, for just £7 including p&p!
