I’m a woman who is exclusively attracted to men. There isn’t any one thing about them that grabs my attention though. Sometimes it’s a cocky grin that captures my interest, other times it’s the shape of a guy’s shoulders, or the set of his jaw, or the way he walks or talks. But there’s always been two things that have mesmerised me about every man I’ve ever been attracted to:
- the way their back muscles move when they take on physically demanding tasks
- the way their usually large hands and fingers take to delicate tasks with such grace
That should give you an indication of where my mind ended up when watching the Fella – the man who has all of the things I mentioned above (and more) in such huge amounts I saw fit to marry him – sitting cross legged on our bed with my craft mat on his knees while he got stuck in to our Kink Craft Mini Flogger Kit.
But I’m letting that worshipful little creature that lives in me take over again, so before I get carried away, I’ll tell you about the kit.
Kink Craft is probably the most unique sex toy company I’ve ever come across, because they don’t just sell you production line products that they order from a catalogue. They hand make all of their stuff. That isn’t unusual in and of itself, but the thing that makes them stand out from the other places that hand make their wares, is the fact that they give their customers the option to either buy one of those pre-made products, or to receive a kit of parts which they can then craft into their own kinky masterpiece with the help of a series of detailed, easy to follow tutorial videos.
A few weeks ago I reviewed a set of Kink Craft’s Figure 8 Cuffs, made by yours truly using a kit and afore mentioned tutorials. I cocked the cuffs up at first because I didn’t pay attention to what was being said in the vid, but once I actually listened and learned, I was flying and making my sexy cuffs was great fun. I was eager to know how the Fella would get on with crafting, and now I do.
Inside the kit is everything he needed to make a cute Mini Flogger. You get your o-ring, tape, and paracord in two colours. There are loads of colours available, but I chose a lovely deep forest green, so we have a mix of that and black.
Now as he’s one of those wonderful, frustrating ADHD folks, the Fella has an attention span that abandons him long before mine does me, so he didn’t listen to the instructions in his tutorial either, and when it came to the ‘wrapping your handle’ part he was yelling at me, wondering where his other fucking piece of green cord was. He insisted he’d only gotten one length of it, so how was he supposed to have two.
I sat at the top of the bed, giggling while making my own little keyring version of the flogger, and nudged the scissors at him. I got wrong for laughing at him while he unravelled his handle, and I guess I should have told him he needed to cut his lengths, but he saw the funny side in the end.
Once he’d prepared everything correctly and started again, I ended up captivated by how quickly his fingers worked. He picked up his rhythm so much quicker than I had with the cuffs. There’s something supremely sexy about watching someone making something they’re planning on pleasuring you with, and every now and again he raised his eyes from what he was doing and gave me one of those smiles, so I knew he was thinking the same thing.
Each loop and twist made the cord spiral around the handle, until all too soon, he was knotting the ends and pulling them taut with his teeth, leaving us with a gorgeous 13 inch long Mini Flogger.
In some pics I’ve seen (including my own) the floggers have looked a little weedy and thin, but that’s not the case at all in reality. They are slight, sure, but if you pay attention and make sure you tighten everything properly, they’re quite solid and look so much bigger in person.
Later that same night the Fella wanted to try out our pretty new flogger, and there was no way was I saying no to that. I’d expected it to be a mild tickle, but there’s quite a sting behind those paracord falls, and there’s a scratch to them too that leaves my skin tingling. I love to be flogged over my back and down my sides, and this flogger is light enough for him to shift further away from the centre without worrying too much about my kidney area. It’s not heavy enough to cause me any discomfort there.
From what he tells me, it’s really lightweight and easy to use, as well as comfy to hold, and simple to aim. However, if we do opt to get another kit, or if I use some of the crafting stuff I have at home to make one of my own, he wants a wrist strap of some type attached to the o-ring. It may be lightweight, but if it flies out of his hand mid-swing it could easily knock something over, so I do see his point.
During our play session, the Fella said I could try the Kink Craft Mini Flogger on him if I wanted to, but I’d have to take it off him first. Well, I tried and I failed, but we do know now that it’s a sturdy little thing, cos we had one hell of a tug of war over it and it didn’t stretch, snap, or look in any way like it had been abused by two grown up idiots.
Given how much sexy fun there is to be had with the Kink Craft Mini Flogger, the cost of £8 is really small. Whether you’re a top wanting tease your bottom by making them watch you produce a mini impact toy that’s destined for their skin, or a sub wanting to sit at the feet of your dom and hand them a special something you’ve created for their hands only, you couldn’t choose better than this flogger. If you want to give it a go, you can pick up your very own kit here.
