Icicles No 69 Pink Glass Dildo

One of the best things to ever happen to my solo sex life was the discovery of glass sex toys. The number of different designs, shapes, and colours they come in is nothing less than staggering. Butt plugs, anal probes, straight dildos, semi-realistic dildos, g-spot dildos. There’s pretty much a glass insertable out there for every type of penetrative play, and to suit every pocket. My collection ranges from £8 butt plugs to a £100+ hand blown tentacle. And Icicles. Loads of Pipedream’s Icicles and the latest piece from that line to dazzle me is the Icicles No 69.

Love em or hate em, Pipedream did a magical thing when they released their Icicles range into the wild. Some of the pieces available are 100% no-frills, straight up and down clear glass, but others are a bit more special. My own first Icicles love was the beautiful tentacle that is the No 24. And then soon after, I fell for the super slim, pointy tentacle, the No 52. To my mind, the No 69 completes the triad of pink Icicles tentacles.

Unlike the other two, which curl into finger rings at one end, the Icicles No 69 is double ended. At the tail of the 9” long shaft is a bulb with a 3.5” girth, and at the head, there’s a bulbous swell with a 4.75” girth. What lumps it in with the tentacles in my eyes is not just the matching pink colouration, but the texture.

One side of the shaft is as smooth as glass can be, but the other side is heavily textured with a long channel like seam with slashes running across it. This gives an effect that looks like little pillows. You know, the kind some lube/cosmetics samples come in? This texture also features on the No 24 and No 52.

I knew I’d love this dildo. It ticks every single one of my boxes.

  • It has a decent girth, given that it’s glass. Quite often, glass toys will be slimmer than standard dildos as something so rigid will often feel bigger than it really is during use. The Icicles No 69 offers a little more thickness than others.
  • It’s gorgeously textured. Something that drives me on during solo play is texture. With a twist of my wrist, I can significantly change how a toy feels. If it has bumps, veins or ridges, the in and out motion instantly feels less mechanical than a smooth shaft does.
  • It has a curve! Both ends are curved, making it an elongated ‘S’ shape. The thicker end is quite a subtle curve, but the tail end is quite dramatic. Curves make reaching my g-spot or the crazy sensitive area just inside my anus so much easier.
  • It’s solid. I do like a good squishy toy cos it can feel very similar to PIV sex, which I adore. But if I’m playing by myself I like to have something super firm. It lets me really smash away at my g-spot and when I come I have something hard to work my muscles against. I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating that toys which force my vagina to yield make me weak at the knees.

The Icicles 69 is a true joy to use. My favourite way to fuck it is to employ the head as a handle. See, the tail end curves in such a way that just the act of inserting it brings it straight to my g-spot. It swoops around my pubic bone and just rests directly against it. Because glass is solid, all I have to do is rock the handle to get the g-spot stim rolling. Even at a gentle pace it still feels pretty intense. Slowly getting faster, pressing harder, changing the up and down jiggles into sharp little circles brings the tell-tale squelching noise, and soon after the squirting begins.

This is one of the reasons the Fella loves glass and metal dildos, especially curved ones. It gives me all of the stimulation I need and more and it isn’t overly taxing on his wrists or arms. He has repetitive strain issues so the quicker he can get me to orgasm with his hands the better.

That same small bulb is awesome for anal play. As I said above, I have an insanely sensitive spot just inside my anus. It’s somewhere on the right. When I use large toys, it doesn’t get much stimulation other than the sense of touch. But with the Icicles No 69, it gets hyper-focused attention.

Just inserting the bulb an inch or two in and then pilling it against my anal opening from the inside finds that spot. The sawing, thrusting motion many of us adopt when using a dildo pulls the ball against the hotspot over and over. I feel my thighs tightening after a dozen taps and if I even look at my clit I explode. Going deeper for a bit gives different stimulation and pressing against the wall that separates my back passage from my vag lets me remotely stimulate my g-spot.

While that’s going on, the texture comes into play. As I concentrate the tip on my g-spot the pattern on the shaft whips in and out of my butthole. There’s a stretch from the widening of the shaft, the bumps of the texture, the pressure on my wall. Toe-curling pleasure is what comes next. Such intense orgasms from a 3.5” round glass ball is quite astounding for a gal who gets off on dragon dongs as thick as her wrist.

Something else that’s special about the Icicles No 69 – as with all glass – is how well it lends itself to temperature play. Warming it in a bowl of hot (not boiling) water makes everything feel sexier to me. The heat encourages blood flow to my vulva, which in turn increases sensitivity. My orifices feel fuller and the dildo glides better.

Cooling it in a bowl of iced water (or freezing it provided that you rinse it to thaw it a bit before trying to insert it) brings touch into sharp focus. In my experience, my openings will tighten around something cold and my muscles will contract. I feel texture with a lot more intensity, and sometimes I feel like I can play harder because the dildo soothes as I play. And in the hot summer months, a cold dildo lying between my labia just feels so fucking nice!

The happiness kinda ends when washing up time arrives. Just like the other tentacles, the Icicles No 69 is a pain in the tit to clean. The texture becomes trenches for lube, gunk, and therefore bacteria if you’re not vigilant. I use hot, soapy water and a toothbrush to make sure I get every trace of crap off it.

Folks who keep their packaging will probably love the Icicles box, with its door and little window. I’m no longer a packaging hoarder but I do keep the Icicles stuff. Probably because it’s fragile and I want to keep it safe. If you prefer toy bags you’ll have to arrange one yourself, cos Pipedream is too tight to include one.

If you’re a fan of glass toys with girth or texture, you’ll likely enjoy using this toy. If you have the tentacle-style pieces you’ll appreciate what this addition brings to the table. And those who like pink, well…it’s got you covered.
