I’ll start this review by making it clear that I’m not in any way, shape or form, a pet player. I don’t do puppy play and I’m not a kitty or a fox, nor a wolf or horse either. But that still didn’t stop me from wanting the experience of prancing around wearing a tail, and this Glass Butt Plug with Tail by You2Toys gave me the chance to do just that.
My little heart had long been set on my first tail being one of those lustrous unicorn affairs in gorgeous pastel rainbow colours, but that wasn’t the way it went. The opportunity to review this one came along first, and I wasted no time in screaming YES, I’LL DO IT!!
So, it arrived and the packaging kinda made me groan. It’s nothing too soft-porny, but there is a butt with the tail hanging from it. I guess that’s necessary, though. At least there isn’t a random pair of ‘buy-this-product’ boobs on the other side *chuckles*.
I hadn’t known what to expect from the Glass Butt Plug with Tail, to be honest, but I did have questions:
- Would it be good quality?
- How big would the plug be?
- Would the tail be long enough to dangle from between my chubby butt cheeks?
- Would it moult? (That sounds gross, I’m sorry *chuckles again*).
Into the box I went to find out…
The first thing that struck me about the piece was the plug. The glass is a stunning, iridescent pale amber colour, which is something I’ve not seen in glass toys before. I absolutely love it! I can’t tell if the glass is coloured or if there’s a coating on the outside of it, though. But it does look pretty!
The packaging says that it’s an ‘introductory model’, but I don’t know if they’re referring to the tail side of the plug. I’ve had a couple of conversations recently that have made me think that a 4.75” girth isn’t ideal for anal beginners. At least not when it comes to glass. A friend of mine, who has moved on from jelly plugs, tried a similarly sized glass plug and she said it was mega painful. This has made me think that this Glass Plug with Tail might be better suited to intermediate players. Glass is just too unforgiving for those with inexperienced butts.
From end to end the plug is around 4.5”, with a tapered tip to aid with insertion. The neck is long so there’s no pinching during wear, and the 75mm thick base has a circumference of 5.5”. That’s something I like to see! Recently, I’ve seen too many plugs aimed at beginners that have bases with the same circumference as the insertable part. All anal toy manufacturers should know that safety comes before aesthetics, and while a wider base might not look so fabulous on the shelf, people will still buy them because they look secure.
Swish that tail…
If I had to pick an animal to match the tail I’d definitely go with cat. Not a pedigree, like a Ragdoll or a Persian. This one is more like a moggy tail. A small moggy. In fact, it’s very similar to the tail of one of the cats who used to own me.
Eleven inches long and black, the tail is super soft with a spine like inner that feels like it’s formed by two pieces of fuzzy fabric that have been glued together. Glue is what holds the tail to the plug, too. I could easily yank it off if I wanted to, but that would just be destructive. I like it too much to pull that kinda stunt.
However, I do think that cleaning and time will eventually make the two pieces part ways, leaving me with a fabulous golden plug and a useless tail. The price of it combined with the ‘introductory model’ status suggests that it isn’t actually expected to last a lifetime, though, so I’ll be happy as long as it doesn’t drop to bits next week.
It’s lovely, though. The tail feels good against the skin and the plug is super comfy to wear. I don’t need a lot of lube to get it in me, and we tend to only leave it in during impact play or while I’m tending to the Fella’s needs. As soon as anything that gets me more than damp begins the tail gets unplugged and replaced with a larger plug.
Because of this, we’ve not had any trouble keeping the tail clean. God knows how it would end up if it got covered in lubes and body fluids. I think there’s a good chance it would be ruined after that.
Did it change the way we play?
As I said above, I’m not a pet player. I did wonder if wearing a tail would spark a desire in me to be a kitten or a puppy. But it didn’t. Also, I wondered if it would maybe ignite some interest in the Fella that’d make him investigate further, but he didn’t show any interest beyond the tail looking hot, in his opinion.
I did feel cute, and after I got over the attack of insecurity I initially felt with such a slender tail poking out from between my big cheeks, I started to feel kinda sexy. Every time I wear this plug, I swish and flick my tail with confidence. For most folk, confidence is as essential in the bedroom as communication and consent is. My desire to have a unicorn tail has increased tenfold, and I can’t wait until I get a chance to upgrade my tail!
