Every time a new Blush Novelties toy rocks up at Scandarella House I find myself squirming with anticipation. I’m yet to try a silicone toy of theirs that I haven’t loved. Part of me feels weird about that. It wonders if I’m just really fucking easy to please these days. But when I step back and let myself really look at a toy, really get a feel for what it is, I realise that, no. I’m not just a clap-and-she’ll-come kinda gal. Their stuff is really good and this, the Blush Novelties Ruse Jammy, is definitely one for the favourites shelf.
If you’re into deep-diving dildos that give good girth, then you might wanna check this one out. As sizes go, it’s glorious. Not so big that it makes the eyes water, but big enough to let you know where it’s going and where it’s been once you’re done.
How big is it? Well, its overall length is 8½”, and because it has a suction cup base and not big hefty bollocks, all but half an inch of that is insertable. This is a great length for me. Shaft enough to completely fill my vagina full to capacity while leaving me with plenty poking out of my body to hold onto. The suction cup is soft and flexible, so it folds easily enough, improving my grip and feeling altogether more comfortable in the hand.
Yeah, the length of the Ruse Jammy is good, but the girth is glorious. Uniform all the way down, it measures up at 6” in circumference. I know that doesn’t sound like much compared to some to the bigger dildos I’ve reviewed. But as always, the firmness of the silicone has a big impact on how chunky this toy feels.
And this fucker is firm. Like, there’s no give in it at all. I’m not saying that it’s completely rigid cos it isn’t, there’s a bit of a bend to it. But I can’t fold it in half like I can most dildos. When I squeeze it, I get instant resistance and I can feel the effort in my wrist. Yet the surface of the Ruse Jammy barely registers the pressure.
This lack of flexibility really does make a large insertable feel larger. It doesn’t go around corners, it doesn’t yield to my insides. They have to make way for it and that’s a sensation I really love.
To add to this fullness (and the lovely stretch at my vaginal opening) there’s a certain degree of texture. It’s subtle for the most part, but the shaft does boast a few nicely defined veins. And the head, though it doesn’t look overly defined, feels quite bold in use. Again, that’ll be because of the firmness of the silicone. Any softer and that coronal ridge would probably flatten to nothing.
Before I talk about using the Ruse Jammy, I’ll tell you that the suction cup ain’t half bad. I’m sitting in the front room as I type this review and I just lifted the corner of my solid oak coffee table an inch off the floor before the suction gave out. Yep, it’s that good. I find that if the surface its stuck to is wet (like bathroom tiles) it tends to slide around more than some other toys do, but so far, it’s been steadfast throughout my play.
So, in use. I can’t sing its praises enough, really. Everything about it feels awesome. I love that it fills me without making me feel like I’m fucking something unnaturally big. Don’t get me wrong, I like unreasonably large toys, just not all the time. Sometimes I want thick but sensible, and the Ruse Jammy is that.
Its hardness helps it stimulate my g-spot without me having to aim the tip directly at it. I doubt that g-spot stim from long thrusts is new for me, but I can’t say it’s leapt out at me in such an obvious way as this. That gives it a slightly different level of sexiness because I get to squirt from long, natural feeling strokes instead of short, fast, targeted ones. My wrist aches less, and the fluid is forced out of me by the dildo. It splatters my knees instead of just pouring over my thighs. Not a deal breaker for me, but definitely entertaining for the Fella.
Anally, it’s just as good. In recent months, the Fella has been less inclined to penetration, so his interest in harness compatible dildos has increased. The Ruse Jammy fits in a harness just fine, and it’s been used for anal quite a few times.
Fucking it feels good but being fucked with it feels amazing. Its firmness stops it flopping about when just the tip is in me, so he gets to use the full length without worrying about it bending on the in-stroke. It’s filling, it’s hard, the textures that don’t translate fully to my vag feel more pronounced. And the ridge is enough that, when he almost pulls out, I can feel it tugging on my opening from inside. That’s a sensation I adore and I’m so glad I get that with this toy.
Because it’s silicone, the Ruse Jammy is easy to care for. I clean mine with soapy water after vaginal use and a toy cleaner after anal. There’s an oddly deep crater in the head that needs extra attention during cleaning. I’ve missed it once or twice in haste and you don’t wanna know what was left in there. Double yike! Needless to say it gets an extra check now. Storage wise, it’s going in my most used cupboard. I want it at hand, I don’t want to have to rummage. It’s pretty good at repelling dust, lint, and pet hair so I’m not shy of chucking it in a drawer when the need arises. With it being a suction cup toy I prefer to keep it upright, though.
